If your business is B2B (meaning your business offers products and services to other businesses), one of the ways you can ensure continued business and happier customers is by helping them get more clients.
This technique is extremely rare, but valuable. Here’s how it works:
- Communicate with your customers and ask them how sales are going. If they are falling short in a particular area, tell them how you solved that problem with your own company.
- Write and distribute a business newsletter. This can include marketing tips and ideas, suggestions for increasing sales, etc. Note: the newsletter isn’t about your business or how you sell the best products. Instead, it’s all about helping your clients.
- Host a private luncheon for your clients on a business topic. No sales! You can create a simple presentation on how they can get more leads and more sales. Share your best tips!
These are your clients and you should care for them. Help them grow and stay in business. As their business grows, so will your sales. By you being helpful, your clients may also pay it back by sending business referrals to your company.
